Here at the Hotel Masatsch our aim is to become a benchmark of accessibility for people with disabilities.

Our indoor pool, the majority of our rooms and bathrooms, and all of the publicly accessible rooms are suitable for wheelchairs. The bathrooms have wash basins that can be adjusted for height and fit a wheelchair underneath, tiltable folding mirrors and showers that are level with the bathroom floor. In addition, we have a large selection of mobile and sanitary aids and can therefore offer individual adaptations for the duration of your stay. For severely disabled people, we have 3 nursing beds and hoists in the hotel.

Our reception team will be pleased to advise you!

Barrier-free Kaltern

The wine-producing village of Kaltern is surrounded by vineyards and enjoys a view of Lake Kaltern. A hilly landscape, cobbled streets and old buildings – it doesn’t sound like easy terrain for people with special needs, people who walk more slowly or who “see” with other senses. And yet, together with the Kaltern Tourist Information Association and the Hotel Masatsch, the “5 sensi – 5 sinne” (5 senses) initiative, representing Lebenshilfe South Tyrol, has discovered 15 suitable excursions. Each destination has been tested and furnished with route descriptions, pictures and symbols and collected together in a hiking guide.

The “Barrier-Free Kaltern” hiking guide is available from the Kaltern Tourist Information Association, as well as in the Hotel Masatsch. Cost contribution: €7.00
